What we do

Abrafas is the legitimate representative of artificial and synthetic fibers and filaments producers in Brazil towards national and international public and private entities, gathering almost the majority of the producing companies in the country.

The entity focuses on strengthening the sector and improving the competitiveness of associated industries, working on agendas of collective interest together with the other links in the Brazilian textile chain, authorities in the three government fronts (federal, state and municipal), academy, Brazilian society and international organizations.

The company operates in the area of foreign trade, seeking to increase Brazilian exports, defending the interests of the sector in the negotiations of international agreements to which the country is a party and fighting against unfair trade. It promotes, among other activities, training courses for Brazilian customs auditors.

Together with the Parliament, Abrafas exercises its interlocution through the Chemical and Textile Parliamentary Fronts in the sector's strategic positioning guidelines.
